Without any announcement or press release, the Nvidia quietly introduces its new MX 450 graphics card without specs. This silent launch new MX 450 GPU had possibly only one purpose, to announce the graphics that will power upcoming Tiger Lake laptops.
The Geforce MX series is mobile series, witch a truly entry-level performance for multimedia and very light gaming. These GPUs usually sit at 15 to 25W, so much lower than GeForce GTX or RTX series mobile graphics card. Another most important part of this MX 450 mobile graphics card comes with PCI Express 4.0 support. So far not a single GeForce graphics card officially supports this interface standard. Meanwhile, the only mobile platform to support PCIe 4.0 is the upcoming Tiger Lake, thus, the MX450 graphic card might remain exclusive to this platform.
The upcoming Lenovo Slim 7 series feature Intel’s upcoming Tiger Lake processors and optional NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics. The series will feature three main variants, the Slim 7 Carbon will be joined by two other Slim 7 ultra-books.
The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon laptop features 16:10 display with 2560×1600 pixels. This laptop comes with a 13.3-inch display. Notebookcheck and Videocardz also cover this topic, the laptop is powered by Core i7-1165G7 Tiger Lake processors. This is a quad-core CPU with eight threads enabled. The clock speed is set to 2.8 GHz base speed and 4.7 GHz boost speed.
NVIDIA did not reveal the full specs of the MX450 graphics card, but the graphics card is expected to feature the Turing TU117 processor. Nvidia was only revealed that it will be available with GDDR5 and GDDR6 memory type.
A few months ago, we already hear the rumors of this Nvidia MX 450 graphics card. where it received as a codename of N18S-G5.
